Td cold start problem
My isuzu has started to have a problem. Just had the relay and glow plugs checked and they garage said they were fine. If it's really cold the car takes a while to start. Then will cut out unless revs are held at 1k. But after a few seconds the car is fine. If engine warm starts straight up.

???? the saab standard power is similar to the cavalier/calibra turbo unit.
And the Omega is a big car, yet came with a 2 litre ecotec which had less power than a cavalier GSi/Early Sri 16v
I don't understand your comment

Re: Spare steel wheel/tyre size with 17" alloys
The over all diameter of cavalier factory 15's (195/60), is wider than your 17's with 215/40.
The only problem you'll have is the the 17 will stick up higher as it will be wider compared to a 15. So you'll get a slight hump in your carpet.

Re: Spare steel wheel/tyre size with 17" alloys
Fit a 185/60/15 tyre and you have same rolling radius as your 215/40/17 But depends on how long you want to drive on the spare for? if its just to get you home, then any wheel will do, (Think modern space saver wheels) they are ment for just getting you home, not to be driven on. If you want to be a...

Re: Manta crash yesterday
If you read the article you'll find the driver of the manta had life threatening injuries. Both front passengers in the fiesta were basically fine. The poor old woman was sitting in the back and died. Old people can die from just falling over. So it proves that. He small modern ford is safe. Where a...

Yeah I wag reading the last comment. And thought I'd rather be in a new car than an old tank. And that video just proved it. Obviously Andrea doesn't understand modern engineering.

You can get a pair of rear shocks for less than £50. Hand brake cable £20 at most. Sounds like via garage is ripping you off.

Re: Calipers
Late spec 1.8 has the same 254mm disc as your 2litre. Sure the caliper will be different and pad. The 1.8 came with rear drums not disc. Tigra 1.6 and corsas came with rear disc. So just get the complete rear beam from one of these
