Well my 93 cav just past its MOT, but the headlights are adjusted right up to their limit. So I plugged in some new motors & switched on the lights they drove to one end & no matter which postion the switch is in nothing else happens. Tried another switch & still nothing ? Is there any s...

Yep you have to carefully dismantle the clocks & adjust each numbered wheel, then re-assemble or get an old speedo drive cable connect it to the clocks & your cordless drill then run it backwards till you get the mileage reading what you want.

I refitted it & it works OK I can change gear & everything but the pedal sit twice as high as it used to making it difficult to use.

CLUTCH PEDAL sitting high.
I removed the pedal to change the broken clutch cable on my 1.8 cav, now the pedal sits really high like twice the height it used to. It still works OK just really awkward to change gear. Can't work out how to get the tension back in the spring

Stick with 205 55 15's the same as the GSI standard size.

Rear disk conversion for a 93 saloon
I want to replace the rear drum brakes on my 93 cav motorsport saloon with a disk setup, I just need to know what will fit obviously cav but does early vectra stuff fit & I want to stay with 4 stud wheels

MAGNEX still do a system for the GSI had one on mine for about 12 years never had a problem with it

If you want more performance you might be better off with the 1.8SE multi point injection system, I think there's a thread about it on here somewhere.

It may be worth changing the brake fluid & flushing the system out, because moisture in it can cause this problem. If you don't know how old the fluid is

Sorry if I'm hijacking this thread but, I own a 93 motorsport saloon that I'd like to lower a little running standard 15" alloys & tyres 195 60's my question is would SRI or any other standard springs do the job as I also want a sensible ride quality ?

I have a 93 motorsport & I put a 20A fuse in slot 13 a relay in the slot & a switch in the hole but no fogs connected & the switch lights up when I put the lights on but the relay does not operate nor does the green light on the switch. What have I done wrong ?
