Me too, but I understood that if petition numbers reach 100,000 it will again be considered?

I will be relegated to the public car park (which I thought was quite good last time) but will keep an eye out for you all!

Another years ticket
Hauled the CD out from under it's normally covered place of rest to prepare it for MOT. It's not been run since October! although it is supplied with a battery maintenance unit. Did cross my mind wether I really needed the Cavalier as at most it is only ever taxed for 6 months of the year but after ...

VBOA Rally 2021 Sywell Aerodrome 2nd 4th July
Thought I had seen this event on here but then couldn't find it - so please delete if doubled up!
Went a couple of years ago - good day out with fine display of cars in an excellent venue.
Planning on going this year (please!)

Re: Stupid modern cars!!
My son's an armed police officer and their squad have a batch of new Volvo hybrid something or other cars. When being used in anger the battery is depleted rather quickly whereby they then display a dashboard full of warning lights and they go into 'limp home' mode! Just the job when chasing someone...

Re: Tyres and Availability
Quite agree I like to see a bit of tyre. Plus more comfortable and quieter.
We have probably all seen big 4 X 4's with super skinny low profile tyres - just don't look right!

Never seen an XJ220 on the road, but I have got one in the loft!
The models were being given away attached to a gallon of GTX oil I think - it's still sealed in its box.

Yep,, been a pretty strange year!
I like to think we can see the light at the end of the tunnel - but also that it's a long tunnel before anything returns to 'normal'
However, wishing all you guys a Merry Christmas and a safe and healthy New Year!

Re: Robsey's Thread of Random Ramblings.
Agree 100%! I read in car mechanics about a 'feature' I think Ford was promoting whereby one of the forward facing cameras monitored the soft kerb/edge of B type roads and it would steer the vehicle away from anything it considered unsuitable ie towards the centre of the road! Couldn't believe what ...

Re: My VERY RUSTY VW T25 Camper Van Project
Robsey, they have been working on a VW Camper (type 2) in Practical Classics and this month there's an offer from Heritage Parts Centre of 10% off parts, before March 31, by using code 'PCLASSICS'
I guess parts can possibly by sourced from cheaper suppliers, but it might be useful.

Re: Can anyone give me any advice please?
Sounds like you're moving in the right direction, good luck! Many moons ago my in-laws had a neighbour who didn't like vehicles parking rear end in at 'his' layby. He made this apparent by putting buttons with nails in under vehicle tyres. Could never be proved and police weren't interested unless w...
