Rather nicely done. So no standard ECU's and moved over to a the link module? Would love to know more about the wiring side of it

Re: Aren't Neighbours Just Great?

Neighbours are like everything else, good ones and bad ones sadly. Sounds like you're sandwiched between some asshats. Involve Environmental Health with your local council if the place is being treat like a scrap yard and is unsafe. Same with the dogs, if they are unable to control them, they should...

Re: My Little 1.8LSi

I wouldn't go removing material from the subframe, it'll weaken it significantly. and ultimately you'll be replacing it again.

Lanoguard is getting some good reviews for metal protection and after seeing it applied the other day, looks very easy to use.

The missus insisted that I got shut of the Yaris.
If I had kept it, then she would still be whinging now - lol.

I have no idea why VW parts cost so much.
As to why I pay - because the missus wants the van done.

Another theme emerging - lol.

Heh, I do feel bad about taking the Yaris off you, on occasion (but never for very long).
It'll come together, I personally will never understand why VW's command the money for parts that people pay though :)

I think plastic welding is going to be your friend here rather than using that much body filler.

Re: My VERY RUSTY VW T25 Camper Van Project

No fabrication yet fella... The glass window is buried under some panels, so no chance of test fitting and drawing the profile on the masking. Just more cutting out.... The suspension mount is usually badly rotten and hidden out of sight. But I was able jack the car up a few times without anything ...

Re: Toyota Yaris 1.3 CDX (2002).

Cheers, I'll see if I can get it to tension a bit better, the mk1 yaris has a pretty poor belt tension system sadly, basically lever and tighten. New alternator, new belt so it's not getting any new parts. I might see if I can retrofit the mk2 tensioner onto the mk1 as that's adjustable. Shall see. ...

It seems to be, belt squeal re-occurred the other night which is annoying.
I'll see if I can get it to pull any tighter.

Re: Toyota Yaris 1.3 CDX (2002).

Cheers Rob, I don't think it's ever been as clean inside since.
Both radios have since gone too. Got some Philips unit in it now

I really should pull my finger out and get it looking properly. I can't believe how much power it seems to be delivering since replacing the alternator, very odd indeed.

Nice to see the old girl is still keeping you busy. Not quite as much as the old days, but you do still seem to get the miles in. We don't seem to go very any more. Rear brakes? - a quick afternoon's job, assuming you get some decent weather. Ah yes, the near-side battle scars from a concrete bolla...

Re: Toyota Yaris 1.3 CDX (2002).

Still not finished fitting the camera etc, too many other things and too little motivation, however in the middle of a 500 and something mile trip to Watford and back the alternator decided to misbehave, bearings mostly but randomly stopped charging and restarting. So that's now been replaced. Rear ...

Re: Does anyone have pics of a cavalier resprayed Arden Blue?

Sadly not, however for me it's not the right shade for a Cavalier, I've seen Vectra B's refinished in the same colour and it seems a bit cartoony (personal preference I guess).
