Re: Old People

Ye, tell me about it. I've had to perform emergency stops and swerves and all because of some old man or woman just didnt bother to stop before crossing. Mostly in a damn supermarket car park. Its like they actually aim to walk into my car, then think its my fault when i slowed down  As for on...

Re: poor idle on 2.0l 8v auto 94 cavalier

Hi again mate. Regarding the idle valve, from what i gather from my haynes manual, as on my 1.8l 8V auto, the GM Multec ECU controls the idle speed and other variables, so its not able to be adjusted manually. Mine sometimes plays up a bit when its cold, i'm guessing its just the ECU. You know what ...

Awesome :cool Looks like your motorway trips in an executive car are sorted :D I really want a trip computer in my Cav, but i reckon it'll be too complicated to install. At least for me anyway.

Re: exhaust rattle

Nah, Squig. basically, i'll run you through it.. I couldnt get it off myself, so a lot of bashing and twisting and pulling and jagging from side to side, etc. A guy from across the road had a rotary tool set with a grinder, so luckily he could cut along the outer sleeve, so, basically he got it off....

exhaust rattle

Hey all :wave Ok, so i changed my backbox recently, now after that, i started to hear this tinny rattle from underneath at gentle revs. Its definitely the exhaust, but i'm not sure if its just hitting the heat shield or what? It's coming from the middle section, after the cat converter to where the ...

Shaking whilst braking

Hey all. Just a quick confirm really, When i brake at high speeds, there is a very noticeable shake through the pedal, and sometimes the seat and the whole car basically. Just wondering if its just the discs or could anything else be at suspect? I've not had the disks or pads checked since i bought ...

Re: Door handles

Thanks mate :) ye, i figured it would be a nice touch. Next, i think i'm going to try paint the rear window corner trim bits (the small triangular plastic bit on the rear doors), u know. That i think will add the finishing touch, and if i manage to find the chrome surround, well, job done on the ext...

Re: Ding dong the vectras dead!

Sounds good mate, but to be honest i like the system as it is. So there's a fair point about the possible automatic function, but on a hot sunny day, if ure just parking up for a few minutes, its better that you can control how much the window is shut, rather than having it shut all the way. :D
