Re: Troy Returns!
Hi there dear chap,
For those that don't know...
Troy is my friend up here to the north east of Manc-land.
He is the chap who rescued my Cavalier rot box and made it into a road worthy vessel again.
He is also my guide as I travel the path of restoring the camper-van.
(The van lives in his unit).
Just don't mention Ford Capris, as it will bring him out in a cold sweat.
Again, welcome back Troy.

Hi, well now that i have a desktop pc in the workshop will allow me to come on and see what folk are up to.
As for whats changed Older, More Grey, More miserable, more Pains, other than that superb
Meanwhile my btcc cavalier replica project sits in my unit as a dust collector! Just purchased a nice hewland straight cut gearbox, this is for the cavalier but as a very temporary measure gonna fit to my nova.
hopefully get on the track in september!

Troy
A good 12+ years younger than me.
More grey?
Where? - you still look young
More miserable?
You need fewer Capris in your life,
And a new Cavalier project.
More pains...
That is what crawling around a concrete floor and contorting yourself around a car chassis does for you.
Try it in 10+ years time.
Despite my dry sense of humour, I am the epitome of a grumpy old bugger
I must be getting better at this though, as my back and shoulders did not hurt half as much today as they did last week
Re: Troy Returns!
Well the only reason your a miserable old bastard is because you gave me your biscuits, delicious!!!
Re: Troy Returns!
I thought it was because I was working on a big white elephant.
The camper van
You are welcome to those biscuits fella.
The least I could do, by way of thanks for the guidance with the van.

Re: Troy Returns!
better guidance would of been to the scrap yard, not sure what happened there
Re: Troy Returns!
There is a huge gap between going with the sensible option...
Or to follow my heart.
My brain said that the van is far too rusty.
And would cost too much to sort.
But it is partially Troy's fault, because he told me 13 months ago, that the van isn't that bad. And it is overall still quite solid.
And - I am starting to enjoy proper hands-on work.
Even if it is a lot more knackering, dirty and expensive than doing one of my usual wiring projects.

I am sure it is only a small penalty to pay in return for your excellent motor body fabrication and coatings knowledge.btcctroy wrote: Hopefully i might help if people see past the sarcasm lol

You're not going modest on me, are you??
With your guidance, you have converted me from a total bafoon to a semi-skilled monkey.
One day, I may actually have a clue of what I am doing.

Re: Troy Returns!
Thoroughly enjoying your return Troy.
The banter between you and Robsey has really livened the site up, even if a bit obscure at times
