hey another newbie joins the forum.

Hey guys. Jus joined after I.was pointed in this direction by some1 from mk3oc (astra forum). Bought myself a cavi 1.8 8v hatch. Needs very little work. Has 115k on clock. Has an idle issue. Believe this to be down to it drawing air from vac control valve thingy at back of engine bay.

Welcome to the forum. :wave

C18NZ I take it? Yep worth checking the vacuum hoses and breather hoses. EGR valve might need a clean out too. Stick around.

Need to know which engine, or at least what year, to help determine what you have under the bonnet? A description of the idle fault would help too.

C18nz engine then. Do you mean the tank vent valve that has a hose back to the servo pipe and leaks air into no4? If so replace it.
