Hi all, been lingering for a bit and thought it about time I made my first post!
First admired the Cavaliers in the early 90's and was impressed by the excellent body pressings that gave the bodywork such nice smooth lines.
Have owned my example since 1996 and must admit it is a bit 'pampered' ! I am the second owner and have taken the mileage to 78k with frequent oil/filter changes and a generous amount of rustproofing wax (which can still drip out on a hot day)! but at least it has kept it totally solid. Love driving it, cruises at motorway (+) speeds for hours on end (600 + while travelling through France) and returned up to 52 mpg
Still on the original exhaust except for the back box. Have just replaced the timing belt again and water pump, the original pump was fine but has the slightest of movement in the bearings so while it was apart it seemed sensible to do.
Anyway enough from me for now!

Alan

Welcome to the forum Alan, that photo is utterly beautiful!!! I really want another early model, I love the look of them. The CD's especially with the colour-coded bumper inserts....

Enjoy your stay here, good to have another veteran member, so to speak.

Andrei.

Stunning example you have there!

Early CDs and SRIs are the best looking in my opinion.

Looking forward to seeing more of this. :thumb

Hello, good evening and welcome to cavmk3oc.com! :wave Another lovely example there, top work.

Post some pics of your Cavalier in the showroom/work in progress section, whichever applies. Feel free to enter your location in your profile too (useful for local meet invitations or if you're after a helping hand from nearby members). Enjoy your stay, and I look forward to seeing more pics of your pride and joy :)
