Hello everyone! *waves*

Post by Xela »

Hi all.

Former Cavalier owner (99-03) but with a real desire to pick one up again! Thinking I may have missed the boat when they hit rock bottom in prices.

I had a '89 'G' 2.0i CD hatch in purple (was it aubergine? :scratch ). G21 EOJ. Absolutely loved it for the 2 years it was my daily driver but took a backseat when I picked up my '89 E30 BMW 325i Sport in '01. Being a youngster at the time it wasn't cost effective to run both for a long period of time so the Cav eventually made way.

Now i'm approaching 40, the nostalgia bug has hit and I keep thinking I should pick one up as an alternative to my current steed (Audi A3 3.2 Quattro)

Welcome to our happy throng of like-minded Cavalier enthusiasts.

I presume you are looking for a relatively standard Cavalier, seeing as you already have the Audi pocket-rocket to feed the "need for speed".

Cavaliers are becoming popular again, giving some quite enthusiastic sales prices compared to two or three years ago.

Thanks :)

A nice auto V6 would be hard to turn down but not sure my wallet would concur! Maybe a 2.0i would be more sensible

Yeah its not about speed.. happy to waft in comfort. As you say the Audi covers the speed angle. Although at a cost.... £555 for road tax today :cry
