A bad end.... :(

Post by Martay »

To xmas day. My cav has died. Doing 80 on the way home from seeing the folks, it sputtered and lost power. Im currently waiting for recovery. Hope its not terminal, it cranks and sounds like it wants to fire but doesn't.
Hope everyone has had a good day x

Just got home. Fuel pump is on its way out. The poor manchetts bloke is paid a flat rate, even for Christmas day, £8 odd. He was pleased to see my car, he owned several in the past. Super helpful and towed me home.

Nice easy job for you then Martay.
What engine is it? If it's a 1.6 or 1.8 I think I have 4 or 5 fuel pumps.

I'd check the relay first though.

Not too bad then chap, as previously said check the relay. Also be worth checking the crank sensor as well as thats where the relay gets its signal from.
