Got fed up with those films. 1 and 2 were alright, after that it got proper shit. Hardly any racing now, it's totally changed genre.

Loads of racing, but more chases really as they are 'heist' films. Cheesy and ridiculous as flack, but great fun and the new one has a stack of red top powered mk1 'Scorts, not to mention one of the next-gen Jensen Interceptors!

The choice of cars laid out at the premiere last night was a bit perplexing though.

Whats the script with the characters?

Han died in the third yet he was in the 4th or 5th, but there was a time line reference where he said he was going back to japan after the job,

Now he is in the 6th film and so is letty(?) yet she died in the 4th(?)

Am confused.

But it certainly has changed genre, it seems to be more italian job than any thing else.

I watched the first couple in the van one quiet night a few years ago. They were a bit cheesy, aimed at the max power brigade so I haven't bothered with the others.

Han dies in the third film, the movie that kinda sits outside of the rest. Films four onwards are supposed to be prequels, it's the only way they could maintain the timeline of events. He makes an appearance at the start of four and says he is off to Tokyo for some drifting, which is a scene scripted exclusively to maintain a level of consistency with the order of films. Tokyo Drift really did screw them over ha ha!

Letty did die in film four... or so we thought! That's kinda the point of FF6... we discover the truth!

First two films were very much Max Power like Paul says, but these later ones are great, kinda Ocean's Eleven on wheels! Can't wait for the new one, the ensemble cast covering all movies works really well.

Oceans Eleven on wheels? Now we are talking! Will have to find myself a box set then and reconsider the projector idea, lol

Skip three, it's terrible, but some great car shots, esp if you like drifting. Casting a 30 year old and making him out to be 17 just confused matters from the outset, and it features none of the familiar cast other than the odd uncredited cameo. It was directed by the same guy that has put together all of the other films though, and he tries to do something different with the franchise, it just doesn't work, and has resulted in a blip in the FF timeline. I think by film 5 we're supposed to have forgotten all about it hehe!

Anyway, if I were you I'd jump straight to Fast and Furious Five, although if you're planning on seeing number 6 then watching the fourth film wouldn't be a bad idea. It's interesting to see how the films have developed over the years.

Was he seriously 30?

Just got back from seeing FF6. Terrible script, dreadful dialogue, extremely lazy racial stereotypes and a lame reliance on former glories. That's without mentioning the massive under use of European machinery. They did finally put FF3 in the timeline though, we now know that it sits between 6 and 7! Although 7 is gonna be super dreadful, 'brother of the bad guy'; think Die Hard 3! TurboDan should be pleased with the star turn though!

It was enjoyable, but for so many reasons it's the worst one yet (not least of all due to the massively diminished number of Vectra C's on the road haha!)
