Must admit, first episode didn't really catch up with me as well as the older series Was nice to see something half decent for a change until Hammond ruined it... Rest of it was shite. Looking forward to the truck driving challenge though.

Am I a light sleeper or a heavy sleeper? Well that depends on how much I've had to drink...

BORING!!!! All Fifth Gear do is bloody German cars..... And the presenters have no sense of humor... A few off the beaten track challenges here and there, but I find it boring compared to Top Gear and Top Gear USA

Funny enough actually what got me into BTCC was TOCA Touring cars games on my first PC, on TOCA 2, Tiff Needel did the commentary for the championship races. Always a voice to be remembered

It had its moments, but the whole show is let down by how obviously staged it is these days. It was quite funny in parts but, ultimately, it was rubbish. The only non-prank related element to the programme was seeing how quick a new Seat can manage a hillclimb. I thought that they'd be caning/reviewing the Nismo GT-R or similar in between the prank stuff, but no. And Hugh Bonneville as the big 'star' for the opening episode of the new series? Really?
Even the 'hot hatch' test was a joke, on account of the fact that they'd bought dogs in the first place. Funny but flawed. Meh.
It's high time that somebody new was brought in as executive producer in order to shake things up. If the rest of the series (a poxy few episodes) is of the same fodder then the days of an entertaining AND informative car show on the tellybox are over. It's just the 'same old, same old' these days.
Yes the road trips are brilliant, although they go some way to highlighting how the rest of each series has become pure filler in anticipation of the main event.
