whats the worst car you have ever ownd ?

Don't really know what my worst car was, I presume this is going by the overall condition of the car?

Probably my second car, a 1991 Citroen ZX. Nice motors, but mine was used and abused from day 1, judging by the state of it. Mileage wasn't high either so it definitely wasn't looked after in the least. Head gasket was gone/going, engine oil had more mayo in it than actual oil, the engine electrics weren't what I'd call safe, dropped a spanner onto the engine block once, ignition was off, and something sparked up for no reason.... On cold startup it sounded like someone dropped a few M6 bolts inside the engine and left them there... Before I scrapped it one of the fuel lines burst right next to the engine block.... don't know how a fireball didn't erupt. But it got me about over winter, would probably have another one as I do like them. It was my first and only car so far with an electric sunroof... do miss that

It's had to be the 306 1.4, well it was my first car and 2 months of owning it engine blew, and then followed by all the rest, got myself a CAV mk3 1.8 auto lol hope this can be better

Well I have always owned chesp and chearful cars. .
All have served me well, and I built up my mechanical experience along the way.

My first and favourite (non Vauxhall) car was a Toyota Corolla KE70 1292cc DX saloon.
It was 11 years old when I bought it and promptly crashed it 2 weeks later.

Learnt all about repairing the front end and building engines on that car.
It was the most unreliable due to continually splitting coolant hoses and a waterpump stud snapping in the cylinder head.


Favourite Vauxhall - a 1987 Cavalier Mk2 base model saloon.
Despite being a 1300, it ran like stink...
I inherited it off the wife in 1995 and have only run Vauxhalls ever since.

Hmmm had a few,

Escort mk4 1.6 that failed Mot on 35 failure points but bought for £150 and drove for six months was pretty bad but looked ok...Lol....Worst has to be when my Pug 205gti got written off I bought a cheap Nova 1.3 5dr hatch and atfirst it seemed ok, first date with a new girl I had met it decided to not let me unlock any door other than boot lid and then decided to break down in the middle of one of the busiest roundabouts near me in the wet...

Absolute bag of steaming sh*te that car, got more scrapping it than I paid for it though!!

Mines wis a mk5 2 door cortina wae p100 springs on it, it bounced everywhere wishbone bushes were split, went thorough 8 engines 3 axels, done 4 driving bans wae it, lol, it looked like dukes a hazard hahaha -looked the biz but deep down it was a death trap

vec b phase 1 gsi pulled like a train when the engine light would stay off constant problems from day one then again I did have a gsi cav that back end sagged when put on a lift mechanics face was a picture now own a 1997 impreza wrx turbo import best car I've ever owned and also my sri cav tho not touched it almost a year that's what happens restoring everyone elses cars

Mine has got to have been my last car, a Zafira 1.8, spent loads on it and it seemed the more I did to it the more that needed doing to it. It was a utter bag of shite

Ford sierra 1.6L, despite it being pretty reliable it was really slow, really really rusty and it seemed as if every screw nut and bolt was loose; the gearbox also howled like a truck gearbox. When you hit a bump the dashboard bounced up and down like a jelly and the whole car shook for about ten mins afterwards.

I actually had a cortina a few cars after the sierra and it was way better a car and much faster, ok it had 2.0 weber, it looked better, was more comfortable and tight as a drum.

Managed to sell the sierra for £750 after tarting up the rust, god knows how I managed to get that for it!

it was given to me when i was 17 but i hated it so much rather than saying i hated it, i accidently/deliberatly!! over reved it and blow the motor then towed it to the scrap yard and got a mini which i loved

Horizon was an a abysmal car, I worked in a Peugeot Talbot garage in my early years. Pudding basin gear lever, just like the Alpine. Certain Sunbeams however were really quite good.

I had an Alpine,1442cc iirc, poo brown in colour.engine rattled like a b@stard unless you closed the tappet clearances up, gear stick was like stirring a pudding.mrscav6 learnt to drive in it and tried to select reverse at 50mph instead of 4th cos the stick was so sloppy.
