The Cavalier Turbo didn't come with white dials. These are aftermarket inserts supplied by Lockwood et al. The white oil and pressure gauge dials that many fit were only standard equipment on Calibra Turbos (and I think late Calibra SE9s).

I have white dials on my car so goin to have to source black dials.
I know the oil and volt gauges wernt standard on cav but i do like them so got a set for really cheap a few weeks back.

I got a quote for covering the seats in leather there and it was £1000-£1100.

I recall them looking beige.
You used the term "Operation Desert Storm" to describe them.

It may be easier to get 'Diplomat' leather seats although these are for the hatchback.

May be possible to swap the covers with a bit of faff.

Do ya think that would work changing the leather over.

Does the diplomat have heated seats.

To be honest I do not know.
James is the best for trim specs.
He also has a Dippy amongst his Cavalier fleet.

If they do not,
But your fabric seats already have the seat heating mats....

You could either transfer the mats to the Diplomat seats, or fit the Diplomat covers to your current seats.

I am just thinking that if Turbo leather is mega hard to source these days, then Dippy seats may be a potential solution.
And will be much cheaper than the price that the auto-trimmers have quoted.

I haven't got the heated mats on my seats at the min.

I think i will just maybe keep the cloth for the time being and just keep surfing the web because you never know what mite pop up.

I have the interior including the carpet outa the car at the moment and was thinking of lifting the black rubber sealer on the floor pan, is ther any recommendations of what do put back on the floor pan.

It is an adhesive backed anti-vibration sheet.
You warm it with a hot air gun or hair drier to make it more flexible.

It is commonly used on sink units to dampen noise.

Such as this stuff...

Diplomat seats are a different design to the Turbo seats, the latter having an extended base cushion, deeper bolsters etc. You wouldn't be able to fit the covers from one to the other, and the rear bench on a Turbo is a different design to non-Turbos. The only option you have is to hold tight for a set (they do pop up from time to time) or retrim yours.

In fact, I do know of a set going for £350. I was only after the front seats, so couldn't really justify the price. Speak to CEMEX (Hayden Rees).

Leather seats are always heated. And general differences are as stated:
- Turbo has sport seats, all other got comfort seats (valid for leather seats)
- inner rail at left front seat is different in A-X models (bulge for catalyst)
- rear seat is different from normal to A-X
- rear seat back is in all models the same (no differences between normal and A-X or notch to hatch except split to non-split seat back)

Yep, all Diplomats had heated seats, it was standard kit.
Leather was also standard but there was a reduced cost option for heated velour seats.
I only know of one Diplomat with the velour and that's my one.

Just another question about the leather seats is the rear leather seats from a Diplomat the same as the turbo, if so i could just get the front seats recovered.

Seat backs differ slightly due to the different centre mounting of back rest and seat cushions have another shape - seating frame is totally different. Normally back seat lower parts are foldable and made of two pieces. In A-X models you got one part non-foldable.

I checked also the turbo / gsi 4x4 is different

Although it looks the same, it’s different underneath.

Best is to gear interior from a gsi / turbo being broken — if there’s any left... or alternatively get your existing reupholstered in leather..

Which model of cavalier you got?

Oh yes. Sorry I remembered after I posted my reply.

I think the omega pad sare different shape and size to the cavs. Also the setup may be different.

I did see some a while back it, but some one left deposit on boxed set.

I may know some one who has a full set of gsi door cards from my travels... what’s your budget (pm details )... condition used. Unsure about any damage.

I also have a full set (minus the wood trim) but at moment. I’m keeping these as I need to fix my existing cards or replace them.

Carpet - I know another chap who’s broke his turbo car. He may still have it - I’ll ask him this evening
