If your gonna use lacquer in an engine bay make sure its a 2part lacquer, as cellulose (rattle can) lacquer softens with the heat and you get bits stuck in your paint, i know ive fell for it too many times

My experiances with laquar are bitter. i tried laquaring some brake levers once after i polished them. but the laquer reacted to the auto sol which i use to get the final finnish on things.

Not to worry about the oil cap i have an older metal type one i can use with it.This is the contrast between the 2 Cam covers i really really must clean up my engine bay before i put it on.
