Might look stupid, but the engineering and inginuity behind it is something else.

The stuff id love to do to a car but aint got the time, money or engineering equipment to do it is unreal, least these people have had an idea and thrown enough cash at it to get it 90% complete.

Got to give them points for making it work. Shame theres no real way of making it road worthy, though the power it puts out would probably be rather silly :/

Impairs drivers vision within 30cms?
Great big hulking metal objects protruding through the bonnet?

Not sure on the technical terms, but fairly confident that they'd get pulled over before even getting to a testing station.

Carlos, I like your thinking, was also wondering how it would sit in an Omega too. :D

my thoughts exactly.

there was a astra van at pvs with a jet engine in the back. that had mot and tax. i cant see the mot being a problem as long as sharp edges are covered

Mascots and other external mountings forward of the windscreen are not part of the test.
Envoy CDX wrote: Great big hulking metal objects protruding through the bonnet?
so long as there are no protruding sharp edges caused by corrosion or accident damage theres not much a tester could do to actually fail that. as pie said, whack half a wheelie bin over it to be sure, it'll pass. probably only just, and with a host of advisories, but a pass is a pass

how the police would view it with their "construction and use" regs, is a different story.

as for the engineering, its good, but i can see an issue with the "boost tube", unless it has a divider/flow direction wedge-type-thingy above the throttle body. it would have been easier (and prettier) to have a separate boost hose to each throttle butterfly, or just the single 'charger, but a whole lot bigger
Theres a fine line between stupid and visionary. You just have to be a visionary to see it.

It would be interesting to see if there would be any (if at all) problems if it was left hand drive.

If I was to do the rear engine vectra a/b thing, it would have to be a V8.

Old boy at work has a ford ka, saphire running gear(which fits) mated to a rover 3.5L V8, think its a type 9 box.
Needless to say its an unfinished project.

Type 9 won't last with a v8 on it, but I would love to see it finished.
