My Dad
just thought i'd give everyone who's been kind enough to ask, an update on my dad. As everyone on the stand knows i had to leave early sunday as nurses had told my sister, to expect the worse.
he seemed a bit better yesterday though cant come off the oxygen mask as he has no oxygen in his blood. hes lost shed loads of weight because he hasn't eaten in over a week. he has no muscle's in his legs at all.
It looks like there is a virus in his lungs preventing him from breathing on his own, hence the oxygen mask.
as he has no immune system (due to his cancer) he cant fight the infection, so the hospital have him wired up to all sorts of monitors.
Anyway after visiting today, the doctors have decided to put him to sleep so his body can have a rest. while he's asleep they will be putting a camera down his throat into his lungs to have a better look at the infection, so they can fight it. they are also going to be feeding him by tube so he gets some weight back on.
i'm left to do this all on my own, as my mum is disabled and my sister has decided she "cant cope".
thanks to everyone who understood why i had to leave early sunday, and thanks to everyone who asked about him.
will let you guys no when he starts to perk up a bit (fingers crossed)

Re: My Dad
Hey everyone. Just a quick post to let you no that sadly my dad passed away this afternoon
he fought off one infection only to get another and it was just too much for his body to take.
I'm going to leave the board with gaz for the time being as i really am struggling to cope and understand how in 2 weeks he can go from being ok .ish to being passed away.
he was only 66.
thank you
