Any car is salvageable, just depends on how much work/cash/available parts are involved. "too far gone" is a subjective term tbh.

Look at some of the fords out there that have had more holes than metal. Mk1/2 Escorts ect Some of them are driving round now. They still sell for alot of money no mater what needs done .

As dan says its all about how much time effort and money your willing to put in.
