Ideas

Post by ashs_cav »

Need a day to day car.

Options iv been thinking of are

Skoda Fabia vRS 1.9 - nice fast little car but also pretty refind with VAG reliablitly.

Mini Cooper S - Cool, different , heard there nippy but not sure, nice In black.

Twingo RS - Not turbo but something about them I like haha.

Also was looking at a TT or A3 but not sure.

Any other cars would be helpful.

By the way I was looking at using the old finance to pay for it before someone asls budget...butost of these vary from 3k-6k

When people ask I usually say...
Japanese for reliability
German for build quality
Italian for great looks
French for a budget
.... and
British.

the heater went cold last Thursday........

Everything that's been mentioned is garbage to me.

1972 Lincoln Towncar sedan, now that would be my daily driver.

If I was buying an everyday motor ATM I'd probably have an Alfa 156 , they are silly cheap , if your feeling brave have a 156 3.2 GTA.

Why do you think it's in the name ;)

P.S. I meant 82 not 72, my mistake.

Jap cars are great for reliability but hate the insides of them as they are very very plastic, but that's my opinion

French wouldn't bother as I had nothing but problems with one

Vws generally hold there value

But I am biased and had the last 3 shape astras so still loving vaux and can recommend the new shape Astra sports tourer lol

I bought a cheap cav for my daily driver. big(ish) boot for work gear and suitcase. cheap running costs, now holding value, or going up.

and I can take it on a building site with out worrying about it getting hit by a a 25ton moxy!

If you havent already do not buy a Bora, one of my mates has had 2 of the TD boras and got shot of both quickly..

Not to say they are bad cars, they are just seriously slow! You wouldn't of thought it as in the golf the Td aint bad but the Bora just cannot manage to drag its extra weight around.
Free Parking is a bonus, leaving my Cav in a carbon dust filled carpark is not.....
