What have you made/welded/fabricated/built recently?

Post by TurboDan »

Seen a few threads like this on other forums and there pretty interesting to read so thought i'd make one on here.

Basically to show off something you may have made, built, welded, fabricated, either on the car or around the house or at work or wherever.. you get the idea.

I dont have anything to start off with but i'm sure someone will

Made a small battery clamp once out of a scrap exhaust box. Actually fulfilled the purpose it was intended to.

Haha, maybe.... but I bet Vaders chest couldn't accurately measure a dog running 100 feet return over four jumps to retrieve a ball to less than two thousandths of a second! Interestingly, the same technology could be used to time a car.

Those welding jobs do look real tidy. The spring seat in one of the photos is what my mechanic will have to make to repair my V6.

I think that's a photo of the spring seats Troy did for my LS last winter:

Not long finished one of these :-

http://www.pvelectronics.co.uk/index.ph ... cts_id=130

Except mine has crisper orange coated tubes, rescued from a piece of kit I was asked to dispose of at work, years ago.
GPS controlled too, so uber accurate.

watch the vid in the link, it's quite cool.

currently working on a different type of much the same idea, but the 6 tubes are in an old AVO multimeter case.

Gps linked clocks are supposed to be the most accurate, that's pretty cool.

Could someone make me the following.

I want a box of metal that sits below the pedels in the car and then a hinge on one end and a padlock on the other - a tight fit but access for a key but not cutters.

Ive seen one person make it in the past for a vw camper and would love for someone to make me one. Cash waiting?
