Obviosely only applies to people with kids and cars lol.

When your baby was due what did you have to change or do to your car to prepare for the babys arrival?

Just a random question

Speaking as a once frequent child passenger, not as a parent.

Booster seat, spare bags, lots of cloths just in case. That sort of thing.

All personal preference, I know some people who have as they say a low and loud car is no place for a baby.
Me personally. I kept the cav and even fitted a bigger engine a few month after she was born. She didnt know any different and loves going in the car.

Edit: leather is a good option with babys lol

I can only speak as an uncle, but a mobile baby seat - they can be swopped between different makes of cars as they are fixed in by means of the seatbelt.

Probably nothing. Contrary to popular belief, people carriers are not mandatory to good parenting.

My parents were fine with two babies in a MK2 cavalier hatch.

If you love your car... Dont get rid because you have a baby... You will resent the desicion after a while and could sub conciousley start resenting your baby...
Keep the car, If it is a problem... softer suspension and quieter exhaust... Keep the modded stuff to put back on later :P

My mate has a 300bhp scooby and her baby loves it...

Just have a good clear out to make space for all the stuff you need to carry. The first few months with buggies and stuff takes up lots of room. You won't actually need to modify the car mate, it's a baby, like a small person that's all. Jemma coped ok in mk4 escort cabriolet once I'd drilled holes in the floor to let the water out :-D

Set covers if you love your seats mine also like to put sweats in the big seat pocket behind the front seats the sweats are bribery so they keep quite lol also I got a small clear tub and glued Velcro to the underside of the seat to stop it from sliding about in boot or back and filled it full of toys toys are good on long journeys and tvs or small DVD players with screens strapped to the headrests are good at distracting them on long journeys :thumb

Our first child was brought home in my blue cavalier and just before our daughter was born i went and bought a Zafira because I thought I needed to! but I soon went back to Cav's, Carltons, Cally's and Astra F's as they were less trouble. I had another Zafira last year as a moment of madness as i wanted a bigger boot but the fact is I can get more in the Cav boot than I could in the Zafira with all seats up!

Much prefer the Cav and cars of the same era tbh!!
