c20let or b204

Post by joe cavalier sri »

Hi just in two minds about what engine to buy either a Saab b204 or the c20let what's pro's and con's of both but I'm going turbo so the best one for getting 300bph or more out of as well I don't mind rebuilding any either Cheers Joe :thumb

The simple answer to your question is another question: 'what's your budget?'

It really is that straightforward. If you want a cheap shortcut to forced induction power, then go for the B204R. BUT, consider this: the B204 is a boat anchor when compared to the paperweight that is a C20LET.

If you can afford a C20LET, then you have other options (you're in the ballpark of a B207R engine). You can pick up a brand new B207R for under 1k, and you can increase its displacement and add a bolt-on supercharger kit with relative ease.

I would take the B207R over the B204R all day long.

It's worth referring to your earlier thread on the subject:
