Wouldn't it be a good idea to remove the instructions at the top of this site or photobucket or at the very least issue a warning?

There is a work around that's surfaced if you put ~original in the link before the close brackets it will still work how long for is anyone's guess.

I found another solution. You can use any instant messaging website/program in which you are able to upload images, just copy the Image address, and paste it here with the regular Insert Image button feature. I've tried it and it works.

PHOTOBUCKET FIX
Following the fix below will allow you to get the photos back on threads... works on most forums.

"As we know photobucket has gone down the charging route and some great photos from the pages on this thread have all but gone. Use these instructions below and trust me it works. I can see all the photobucket photos on here again. Its from Google and is free.

If you're using Google Chrome, go to the three dots on the top right side of the screen and click them. A drop down should appear. Hover your mouse over "More Tools," and when the next drop down appears, click on extensions. Go to the link towards the bottom that says "Get more extensions." In the search box, type "Photobucket Fix," and hit enter. Click the install button and once it's done, you should be able to see photobucket pictures again.

For FireFox users, click on the three bars on the right side of the screen, then click on add ons. Click search for "photobucket hotlink" and click install. Same result.

Hope this helps."

Stolen entirely from a post on Trucknet

Found this another site seems to work.

Oh well -
No way back for me...
I deleted all my pictures and my account within a couple of days of Photobucket pulling the plug.

I still have all my pictures backed up on cd as far back as 2007.
So I can re-instate pictures in due course.
