Well, thank you, Mr. Bandit. And as the pursuer, may I say you're the goddamnedest pursuee I've ever pursued

If it is the alarm with the big yellow connector in the UK passenger side wing, up next to the glove box, then it is in the Haynes manual.

If it is the one in the UK driver's side kick panel, below the engine ECU, then I have no idea.

I am a bit dubious about posting alarm / immobiliser wiring on a public facing web page... but bear with me a moment.

I did exactly what you are proposing, last year to fit a Scorpion SA30 alarm via the factory alarm socket up by the glovebox.

Here are details of my install.

And info for under bonnet wiring...

The Bonnet Switch
The brown / green wire for the bonnet switch.
Image

The brown and the brown / green wires fit the socket on the base of switch mounted on the side of the supplementary fuse / relay box fitted to some cars.
In standard GM configuration, the brown / green goes to the immobiliser connector.
And the other terminal of our bonnet switch goes to earth / ground / chassis.

The Sounder Wires.
The brown / red wire for the sounder positive wire.
Image

In normal GM guise, the red wire is the battery live 12 volt feed from fuse 38. So again from the supplementary fuse box in the engine bay.
And the brown / red goes to the immobiliser connector.

In our situation, ignore the red wire.
The negative wire from our sounder needs connecting to earth / ground / chassis.

I am not an alarm installer, but I do have a good grasp of electrics and wiring diagrams.

I am sure a new alarm will come with the instructions.

It is usually the post-installation setting up that can be a bit complicated.

My situation was brought about by the need to replace a badly fitted Meta alarm.
The idiot company who fitted mine, hacked directly into the wiring above the glove box creating a tangled mass of wiring spaghetti.

Very annoying when I am very particular about wiring being done correctly, safely and tidily.

I presume you have installation instructions for the 950.

I have a copy in Dutch, just to see what is involved. ( I can't speak Dutch, but that was the only guide I could find).

Dual-circuit immobilisation by the looks of it.
Virtually cutting power at the ignition barrel.

It looks like it tries to cut power to several items that don't relate to starting / running of the car. Very odd or over-kill.

As for intellistart - installation information for that is even more difficult to find.

Yeah that's exactly what I don't want is to hack the wiring would you be able to send me the 950 guide as I only have one for the 850 are there any issues running both alarms together or did you clip the pins off inside the Vauxhall module as I have a spare one

I have been able to run the Meta and Scorpion alarms side by side.
(Both still wired up.

When I wired my SA30 into the alarm box,

I stripped all removable bulky components from the circuit board, and cropped all the steel legs off the connector as close as possible to the circuit board.

I then bent the legs straight, so that they pointed into the insides of the case, and avoided any pontential shorting out to the circuit board.

The circuit board is only there to provide a secure location for the connector.

All wires are soldered to the legs, and any important joints were also double sleeved with heat shrink tubing.
Again to avoid shorting.

The problem you will have (not really a problem), is that you can only plug one alarm in at a time.

But this is sufficient to do ongoing tests as you wire up your 950 to the socket.

As for guides...

I have the Dutch Installation guide (with some English translations - not many)

I also have user guides for the 950 and the intellistart.

I have a stupidly long WIP thread, but I cover the alarm work from page 76 to 79.

viewtopic.php?f=21&t=4069&start=1875

It gives a bit of an over view of my thinking processes / or random bumblings.

I hope it helps.

My pleasure.

Always glad to keep another Cavalier on the road.
And away from thieves and scrotes.
