Congrats to James and Lizzie

Post by Robsey »

Update - I felt it appropriate to separate this part of the topic from James' original thread, so as not to detract from his original conversations.

Next week sees the joining of hands in holy matrimony of Lord and Lady McGrath.

So to mark this special occasion, I will be reverting the forum theme to the old CavMk3OC theme. :cool

For one week only - Monday 16th to Friday 20th December 2019.

Advance congratulations to the forum's own royal wedding couple. :cheers James & Lizzie

Disclaimer :- I just want to assure you that inclusion of next week's activity in this thread does not imply any insanity on the part of James or Lizzie.

Thanks guys, you're the best! :cheers

We're going up to Suffolk on Monday, taking the V6 with my two biggest mates in the back plus all our luggage for the wedding and honeymoon which includes 34 hand made Christmas crackers, 34 mismatched wine glasses and our wedding cake!
It's going to be an interesting journey to say the least.

As you might expect from me, the Cavaliers will be featured in the wedding.
I'm driving to the church in the V6 with my best man (my Dad) where the ceremony will take place at 4pm.
Then Lizzie and I will drive off together afterwards in the LS.

We are staying the night in the venue, Woodhall manor, then leaving for the lake district on Friday morning in the V6.
We have 1 night there before we start our honeymoon in Auchtermuchty, Scotland.

Sounds fabulous James, but it is not a good idea to tell us where you will be staying. -lol

Surely you have heard of the nightmare stories of -
cocoa-pops scattered under the blankets,
which makes for interesting explanations to the room-maids the next day.

or all the bulbs removed from the rooms, so you cannot see where you are going.

One friend, of a friend even had his front door bricked up whilst he was at the church and reception. :wall

I am sure all will go swimmingly.
Scotland in the height of winter?
Wow - prepare plenty of base layers. -lol.
:cheers :cheers :cheers :cheers

I will do my best to hold the fort, in your absence. :thumb

The Proclaimers went 500miles, not Km,
So 500Km is about 190 miles less than the Proclaimers :P

Oh eck, it looks like photobucket is playing silly sausages again.

The McGraths are far too civilised for those kinds of shinanigans.

I know, but miles didn't fit in with my attempt at humour :santa

I was trying to think of something witty about a town called "Upper Pig Enclosure", but hey ho.

I know that James and Lizzie are big on history, so I am sure that they will be investigating a lot of the historic yarns and breweries whilst they up in Fife.

From memories of VauxFest... as long as there are bottled ales and pizzas, they should be sorted.

Have a great day today chaps :cheers :cheers

I never really got the chance to reply to this at the time what with the honeymoon and all.
I was going to write something here but I've moved it across to my mega-thread, here:
