An eerie silence upon the corridors.

This was Wednesday lunchtime, between my shifts on a non-Covid ward.

Obviously this is the main corridor...
I would not photograph a ward for so many reasons.

I have only seen this quietness once before, and that was after the hospital had closed it's doors for the night.

These pictures are 'before' full security lock down had kicked in, a few hours later.

Today I'm supposed to be having the day off, however I've had to go into work to await a delivery that's urgently needed, don't know what time it's going to arrive, but at least I'm totally on my own (until the delivery comes in) so am being very well isolated. There's over 5000 square feet so am in less contact than the cul de sac that I live in.

I'm still working at the moment. Partly from home and partly on site at Bodiam Castle.
I normally would have been furloughed (Lizzie has been) but I'm part of the key holder team at Bodiam so have security responsibilities which have been deemed essential.
So I'm going there a few days a week for security reasons.
I'm a conservator for the National Trust normally (I look after old things) so the vocational change is a bit odd for me. I'd rather be at Bateman's (where I normally work) working through some of the backlog of stuff we need to do there while we are closed to the public but alas.

I discovered some new side effects today.

I do not think that I am Covid Positive, but today I developed a green tinge to my finger tips, and random white patches on my skin. :o

Damn - I have been found guilty of mowing the front postage stamp sized garden,
"I developed a green tinge to my finger tips,"

And painting my wooden window sills and frames.
"And random white patches on my skin." :no

Don't tell anyone that I was so bored, that I actually did some long overdue jobs.
It will ruin my reputation of being a lazy bugger. :?

It would appear that I am not alone in this job fest.
When I went to my local Morrisons supermarket this afternoon, the shelf for sand-paper and masking tape were empty.
:scratch

Managed to get gloss paint and white spirit though :thumb

Sheesh - I hope you are okay fella.
That is the main thing.

I never could understand how people cannot see you when there is a lot less traffic than usual on the roads at present.
Good look finding a new bike, although I know that it will not be the same as your trusted steed.
