2009 Camping trip
As a budget option to a carshow squig and cav gli suggested a club camping trip, after having a word with a mate of mine whos an avid camper, he suggested shell island in wales, a bit of a google and it seems ideal.

Im thinking this is more of a social weekend, you can come in any car bring whoever you want (kids family mates etc), its a calm relaxing weekend for chilling out talking rubbish and getting quietly drunk or just enjoying the weekend, rather than a complete pissup like pv etc.
Im thinking sort of late june/july ish
Any suggestions comments etc?

Re: 2009 Camping trip
I'm interested buthave a couple of weddings etc to go to this year, so it all depends on the date and cash.
But it would be nice to get away from it all for a weekend with other people who 'understand' Cav's!!

Re: 2009 Camping trip
The date we're going is Friday 17th of July and we aim to be there mid afternoon, I'm hoping to be there for a full week but obviously this isn't obligatory, if you only fancy a few nights in a tent near the sea just come on down...
So to recap I'm hoping to arrive mid/late afternoon on the 17th and leave on the Friday following as and when.
If you have kids, bring them with and take them to the beach there will be people who will help with any tents gazebos etc...

Re: 2009 Camping trip
i'l be down.
im my fruit box, with a suprise 'en tow'
i'l probs come for a long weekend. thursday night, until Monday late morn/early afternoon.
will give me a chance to see how the 3.0 fairs up on a long drive, as in mid August, she's got a 600mile drive to southern Germany to complete in one stint (obv with tea, fag, petrol and euro tunnel breaks)
looking forward to it!

Damnit I won't be able to make it to this I'm afraid guys - I have a wedding to go to. It's a family wedding too, so I can't really not show up.
