OUCH!

Post by andy16387 »

Step 1: Leave "daily" driver parked in car park.
Step 2: Take Cavalier to work, planning to wash it at the garage and go take it to a man to see about winter layup.
Step 3: Park in garage, and leave keys hanging up so that Cavalier can be moved should the need arise.
Step 4: Watch helplessly from another bus as a nugget reverses a Volvo coach into the back corner...

GRRR!

Maybe should have made that clearer... ! I'll amend the post!

I followed the coach that hit the Cavalier into the garage... caught the fella red handed, he did hold his hands up and admit he didn't see it.

Still not best pleased about it right enough, but these things happen!

I think there would be a good chance of popping most of that out, and with a little more work, the rest of it would come out. Youd only have to worry if theres any filler in the area.

Least you caught him, and it does sound like it was an honest mistake.

Update on this... been too busy driving coaches, although I'm now refusing to drive the one that hit the Cav until it apologises! Seems to be driving okay though I'll get it checked anyway. Theres a bit of filler in the area as well, but nowhere near as much as I expected.

The boss has arranged for one of the mechanics to repair it using proper repair panels. The fella who should be doing it seems competant enough as he's 90% through welding his Triumph Herald back together and it's holding together well, so hopefully he'll be back on the road again shortly!

Taking the opportunity to have a go at fixing the radio, aerial, swap the rear lights over and two or three other bits and pieces while it's off.
