Sparks... a smelly little ferret. Rescued runaway who was unclaimed, so we gave him a home.

Sorry, don't like ferrets and polecats...!!

Not since I was about 25, when a friend's polecat used to bite me for fun...

It knew I hated it, so it used to bite me even more!!

I was literally allergic to it...used to come out in a ring-worm rash!
took months to get rid of the rash.

Thankfully the little !?@%$£ got run over and killed.

I do love animals honest, I've got 3 chinchillas, 5 large dogs and 3 fish..
I also used to have a rabbit, twoguinea pigs and an imaginary friend...

but regarding ferrets and polecats -
Cooking in a pan would be a waste of a good pan.

Awwwwww Gaz, thats mean, lol. He's cute. A friend has got about 20 of them and all are very friendly. I've only known them to nip when provoked.

Have you got a name for him yet Squig? :) :)

Pole-cats must be different, because Tarquin was a vicious little critter!!!

My blood must have been very tasty, cos he loved it!!

think his names sparks Claire. i think all animals can be nippy when they want to. Prime example is Rats, not known to bite unless stressed or in danger. Yet Last year i got a very very bad bite off one of my most placid lads.
he had been tormented by his brother all day so when i went to pick him up wham he took a huge chunk out of my arm. My god it hurt, blood gushing everywhere. I knew instantly "why" he'd done it so despite the pain didnt get angry and it hasnt put me off rats one bit.

Next day he was right as rain again and all licky and wouldnt leave me. Maybe im soft but i think he realised he'd accidentally hurt his mum. His bro on the other will be going the nad fairy if he ever tries annoying him again lmao

Ferrets i have been told can give quite a nasty bite when they want to, rat bites are bad enough, dont ever think id like to be bitten by a ferret :(

honestly, been bitten by both and I'd prefer the ferret bite... it's more like a small cat. I can understand most people not being madly keen on the little buggers, but I've never met a friendlier animal. He will almost jump from his cage into your hands and seems just to want company. Even the vet commented on how humanised he is for a rescue.

But my goodness he stinks! and I can now report he is settled outside... with a pillow... I'm not kidding...

Awwwwww, how cute!! Get him doctored and he shouldn't smell if you keep him clean! A bath once a month would do it too! ;) ;) My son has wanted ferrets ever since he was little but I never allowed it. I now wish I had for various reasons, but mainly cos yours looks so cute!!! :D
