Shell Fuel Save

Post by Cavalier342 »

I don't know how they do it but I definitely noticed a difference once i switched to their fuel a month ago. I only fill up £20 every now and then, but i definitely noticed getting at least 10-15 miles more before i think of filling up again. At no extra price, i cannot argue, this is a very good thing for fuel economists.

Am I a light sleeper or a heavy sleeper? Well that depends on how much I've had to drink...

I use Shell Fuel Saver, but cannot say that I have noticed my fuel lasting any longer.

I use shell, because it is the cheapest of the proper fuel brands, at approx 4p per litre cheaper than the others.

In order of cheap to dear, I would say Texaco, Esso, and then BP, which is alsways way too dear!!..

Incidentally my local Sainsbury's regularly uses Texaco tankers, so supermarket price with decent quality fuel :thumb

The worst fuel ever has to be Tesco's - avoid it like the plague.

That really does take the pee lol as i work at tesco, and have clubcard discount card etc, not that i'm bothered, but i know what you mean, i never use their gas. But i definitely noticed a difference with Shell. Not the first time, but the more i filled up, the more i noticed it.

I have only had contaminated fuel - running problems, after filling up with Tesco. Sorry but it's true. :(

If it's any consoltation. my local Asda used to sell fuel, until they were caught supplying fuel without anything added to replace the leaded bit (very early days after withdrawel of 4 star) - Cheats unleaded :no
I believe dozens of cylinder heads were wrecked !! :o

Anyway, as long as you are benefitting from better efficient fuel, then that's the important thing - anyone else notice any difference ? :thumb

It was on the news actually a couple of years back, tesco's gasoline was contaminated with something or other, and caused cars to break down. People tell me that Texaco or Esso tankers fill up the tanks at tesco forecourts but i still cant be bothered. Like you say, anyone else notice any good difference?

How much is a litre of this Shell fuel save? I'm currently using Jet at £1.10 a litre.

Should be the same as regular fuels. Here its the same price as any other unleaded. £1.10 ish. V-power is the more expensive one. But like i said, I definitely noticed a difference since i've started using it.
