Sorry, i couldnt resist, just been nosing on pistonheads dreaming of what Cav i cant afford (some nice SRi's on there ) and came across this, has to be THE worst paint fade EVER!!!

seen worse water based paints i assume . i personal prefer to shave than wax those parts .

i saw this on pistonheads aswell and i thought hmmmmm, lol mechanically it sounded like it had been looked after, just not body wise, some bits would come back but some of it is beyond repair really.

If its sound, £350is a fair price, flame red is difficult to keep right and it is very demoralising when your hard work is ruined by the first tosser on the motorway..

If it has arches, floors and sils.. even with a fooked engine I'd pay reasonable money for an SRi.

Calm down Gary, was just saying the paint is a disgrace, that only happens when someone cant be arsed looking after it. Theres a lovely cav dippy on VXON now thats nicer than that and its only £350. That red cav is going to need a respray thats more money on top of the £350!!!

i wasnt saying scrap it, if its sound why do that?? Just saying that isnt gonna be a £350 car for anyone, if they want it to look nice its gonna need a respray, which will add another £500 minimum maybe more on top of it. Unless the bloke who bought can spray in which case he's laughing his ass off

give it a mop and it will likely be back to new gleaming red although you have to keep on top of it and foxy it would be polish you would need to try get colour back no wax
