Always interesting to find out the terrible secrets of the cars we have owned since you passed your test, I know I have had some real rot boxes so here goes:

Mk1 Ford Fiesta 1100L with Xr2 kit

Mk2 Astra 1300 with full Gte Kit and Peco 4" exhaust...lol...

J-reg Rover 414si with Rover Twincam lump dropped in it, quick and scary!!

Peugeot 205 Gti (1.6) Modded engine, bodywork and then front end at 40mph.

Vauxhall Nova 1300cc Bought as waiting on insurance claim, total sh*tter!! Scrapped!!

Vauxhall Astra mk3 1.4 Gls (Mpi) Top spec with all toys and 1000w Ice system...Blew HG & Seized

Ford Escort Mk4 1600 GL...Mot'd after 6 mths and failed on 32 failure points!!...lol

Vauxhall Corsa 1.2 Ls.. My first corsa! Loved it but needed sumin bigger so sold on..



Vauxhall Astra Mk3 1.4 Ls (Spi)...My pride and joy til engine seized from HG failure at Xmas Me and a mate from Mk3oc.com were going to fix her but just got to the point where it wasnt worth it as had problem after problem with it but this was probably one of the best cars I ever owned!!



And now got my Cav Gls 2.0 with C20NE in it, nice motor with no big plans for her but to tidy it up a little and fix gremlins..

In the past 7.5 years I've had..

MK2 Polo (H reg) (died - headgasket, fuel tank and brakes within a week).
Mk2 Fiesta (c reg) (crunched the front end on a ballard in a parking accident - selected wrong gear).
MK5 Escort (flipped it)
Mk4 Escort (rotted out)
Punto (Never used on the road) (head gasket died)
MK5 Escort (never used on the road) (rotten)
Orion ( rotten, engine was lovely though)
MK3 Cavalier (4 of them in the past 5 years)

Interesting fact - I've never sold a car on

Sounds like you have had worse luck than me with motors..lol

Looked at non vauxhall garage, indeed some really nice metal in there some of which I have always wanted to own like a 2.8i Capri for some tail out action!!

That's bloody weird I definitely had a thread there with pics of my first cars. Where's it gone?

in 15 years of driving i've not had many really, i tend to hang on to them for a long time:

1st 1986 Sierra 2.0 LX (chipped, went like the clappers. until i rolled it. it got beached once too hehe!)
2nd 1990 Mk2 Astra 1.4 Merit (after the fate of the sierra needed something with low insurance!)
3rd 1999 Peugeot 306 1.9 LX (had this one from new, really good reliable car, but not v quick tbh)

tbh i am 34 been driving since 17 after i rolled my silver nova what i loved swore blind would not get attacht to othere car like that again , well till i found v6 power

Vauxhall Corsa Pickup?? Was that a import one as aware of them in South Africa same as Astra 200Ts etc but never ever seen one in this country.

D924 OAX - 176,000 miles (in the family for 20years) crushed due to rust
