Am I a light sleeper or a heavy sleeper? Well that depends on how much I've had to drink...

Possible that the 1.6 is a little bit like a one legged whippet too I suspect?

Turbo d cavs are getting hard to find now, people are realising how good they are and hanging on to them. Might be looking for another one myself soon.

As a 1.6 driver I can honestly say that the 1.6 Petrol is a lot more lively than a standard 1.7TD...

Fuel economy on my carb 1.6 is pretty sweet as well, not a huge amount in it when you get down to it.

my mother had a 1.7TD lump in a mk3 astra, can't say it was particularly quick but then i wasn't really taking much notice, i presume it's the same lump used in the cavaliers?

you had a choice of two, all the higher spec astra mk3's and sports had the isuzu lump, the merits and ls's tended to have a vauxhall low blow diesel which wasn't much cop really - isuzu everytime!!

LOVE my Turbo D. He is slow round the town, but out on the motorway, he is away in the fast lane like no other old car I have ever owned.
