I do like RC scale trucks but not so much the Fj cruiser or the Unimog. A nice Defender is more my cuppa. Was gonna mud up my Defender 110's with the Hummers but decided not to as one is immaculate and they're both parked on sand so wouldn't look right.

No one really makes a Land Rover kit, they make body shells, but not an all in one kit so to speak.
Vast majority of RC Land Rovers (hobby grade, not toy), are custom fit projects.

On a RC crawler forum that I was on before, still am I think, they used 110 shells on Axial chassis. Looked real nice, some owners even added little details such as jerry cans, spotlights, towropes, jacks. etc.

I do like a bit of speed now and then, running my boomerang on a 11.1v lipo at the min with standard tamiya ESC and motor, also gone 2.4 with it. Seriously considering going brushless, as you can get the tamiya brushless conversion set for £70.

Enjoy the crawling as well, try to get my fj40 round the pond with out it getting wet.

There are a couple of muddy spots around here that I've been through in the auto no problem, nothing like that though.

Attended a souped up Discovery one night which was green laning. Nearest solid ground was about 1/4 mile away and the lane was deeply rutted, and little more than a raised section running between two drainage canals. They were well prepared with winches and ground anchors and obviously well experienced. The owner met me at the end of the track and we walked to it, slipping and sliding, carrying various tools only to find the cambelt was broken. Gave the guys a lift to a petrol station to get a cab home, three guys covered in mud in my van, two in the front one in the back. My van was a week old and got well christened that night, it was shit high afterwards.

Ok, get your diecast pictures in here. I've asked for the thread to be renamed diecast and similar, so anything diecast or scale RC models, post away :thumb

While on the topic, I got the deal of a century today, swapped my 1/32 Lada taxi for this beauty with my mate:

69 Pontiac GTO, one of the most iconic muscle cars ever made. Built it out of the box, unfortunately put a small crack in the windshield due to fitting it the wrong way but otherwise very neat. Sold axles unfortunately, so the front wheels don't turn. Still, good to admire.

Went on a little road trip today, somehow managed to find myself on an American highway somewhere in Arizona  :scratch Anyway spotted some nice motors and had the camera with me, so....

Managed to spot a 69 GTO, which promptly engaged in a drag race with a 1970 Charger RT..

Which then got done by a Corvette C6:

Something else nice passed heading the other way:

Managed to get back and somehow ended up in a forest, right at a Defender's owner meeting where one of them was going on a mud run:

You know, I regret leaving. Really do. Flying Grob 115 Tutors and gliders, outdoor events, woodland camo, rifle shooting, for £1 a week. You cannot get anything like that for that price, let alone all that combined. But had to get an income when I hit 17 so I could start motoring etc. Given the chance, I'd do it again though.
