Car alarm and Vectra b locking ecu

Post by Martin_TD »

Hey bit of a problem I was playing with the remote locking so it would deadlock but I seem to have annoyed the alarm and it won't disarm... Video:

No part of the vectra central locking wireing that we posted up should have any effect on your standard alarm. The only thing you must have done wrong is you must have chose the wrong wire for the dead locking.

Yes, blue/black. Alarm should disarm on unlock signal, as long as the grey wire microswitch in the drivers door is not closed

they check the level when it's serviced don't they?"

The only two wires I touched were the black/blue to black/blue in the scotch lock...?

Anyway. I Disconnected the battery while I done the second part of my shift, came back after 4.5 hours and stuck the battery back on and the same thing happened, so I wanted home and couldn't be arsed (I phoned The AA) The guy came out and after a bit of pondering I decided to plug in the cav locking ecu and voilà everything was cool so my cav has ate 2 vec B locking ecu's so far :\

You must be doing something wrong somewhere. Ive used these vectra modules on loads of cars now, corsa's astra's etc.. and they have all worked fine.

both were kiekert so plug in and go :\ can't really see me doing anything wrong, the first one lasted a few days and I got another which was good until I "shorted" it connecting the blue/black to blue/black... unless I'm actually colour blind. :scratch
