At the south meet we spoke about putting in a switch to lower the aerial when you just want a cd on...
Sounds easy enough... But turns out, most Sony units do this already... Lol
I thought mine was broke until I put it to radio... Happy days!!!

Ye I discussed it with Mike before, must admit I only listen to CD's in my auto as I'm missing an aerial plug for the cd player, but there's not a lot of use for the aerial I guess it depends on the head unit. A separate switch would be cool though. Be nice to put those blanked switches to some use.

There was an pre-facelift SRI in eBay a while back which had a separate switch for the aerial.

Anyone got a spare leccy aerial unit going? Mine seems to have finally given up the ghost. Either the motor has failed, or the gearing has finally become completely toothless, but nothing goes up and down anymore.
