Hey all,
Ages ago I put in the rear grab handles and loom I bought from Dan (Turbodan) I think it was, after wiring them in and finding the correct plug in the boot I had and still have the issue below and have not found anyone who can answer why it is happening..
Ok, if I plug in the courtesy lights the front interior light stays on with all the doors closed even after the preset timer passes??
If I unplug the rear courtesy lights it works fine!
I have changed the rear door pin switches as thought these could be at fault but nope, still does it..
Is this a known fault others have had or is there a way I could plumb in a separate feed for the rear lights?
I'm ok ish with wiring and considered running a new power source from the front light allowing the switching to work correctly but I am unsure which wire does what?
HELP as its driving me nutz

Re: Courtesy Lights
Sounds like you have a corroded wire somewhere.
Front door pins and wiring is the usual culprits and check infront of the seats too. Grey / Grey white is what you're looking for if I recall correctly.

Re: Courtesy Lights
It must be getting an earth through the additional loom somehow back though to the front. The switches only provide an earth path, so assuming they are actually switching then there must be something within that loom that supplies the feed to the lights. You only need a positive to the lamps, which could be conveniently sourced from the boot light, then a wire down to the rear switches to provide an earth.
