I still think it was flooded and that you cleared it inadvertently playing with the crank sensor, but unless it does it again we'll never know

Hmm, I dunno really. There was pressure at the valve but the plugs didn't smell of fuel/had no wet on them. Bare in mind we have disabled the immobiliser as it was the source of the other starting woes last year.
