Airbag Light.

Right a couple of months ago I fitted a replacement steering wheel to my 93 1.8 cav using my existing airbag with no problems apart from it was slightly off center which I lived with for a while, but yesterday I decided to sort it out but when I put it back together the airbag light won't go out, I left the battery disconnected over night hoping that would reset it & sort it but no joy. Took it all apart again checked all connections & fixings all seem OK but the light still remains on, any suggestions would be gratefully received.

Yes it definitely needs to be plugged in to a computer for that
