Reversing sensors

Post by Mk3alan »

I fitted a set of reversing sensors to my MK4 Astra Estate and find them really useful (and accurate) think they were only about £15, brilliant!
Fancied a set on the CD but not wishing to drill holes through the bumper was considering mounting them under the bumper held on by some sort of clamp device on the horizontal section of bumper.
Anyone done anything similar? and did they work ok down there?

I would be a bit concerned that you may get a lot of false warnings from kerb stones.

Also consider how far the sensors are mounted behind the most protrusive part of the rear bumper.

Could you not use clamp on sensors on the bottom edge of the boot lid or tail gate.?
