Cav V6 - rad fan comes on intermittently even when cold
The radiator fan on my 1993 Cav V6 comes on sometimes even when the engine is fairly cold, and stays on for a while after switching the engine off. I've replaced the temp switch on the RH side of the radiator but this hasn't fixed the problem. I suspect the relay. I think this is one of the 3 relays that are in the box within the engine compartment behind the battery. But can anyone tell me which one - they are all black and look identical? The relays also don't easily pull out of their sockets - is there some locking arrangement that I need to release?

Hi, not sure if you're aware but you already started another thread discussing the same issue on the forum.

It depends what other options you have fitted, as to which relay is the fan relay within the engine bay box.
They are not usually locked in place, so may just be tight on the connectors.
