Headlight range switch for Cavalier V6
Can anybody tell me which headlight range switch is originally installed in a Cavalier V6? I'm looking for the code (letters on yellow sticker) on the switch. There are a lot of different switches like DF, DR, DS...

Aren't they all the same? Could just be different brands maybe. All the ones I've ever come across looked to be the same.

Am I a light sleeper or a heavy sleeper? Well that depends on how much I've had to drink...

They should all be the same.
The different alpha code letters usually refer to being for a specific country or maybe a supercession of a previous alpha code.

No, that isn't that simple. They look the same, but they aren't. Differences are inside. They have different values of resistors inside. And EPC is not telling which code is for which car or equipment.
I think I will have a look in parts microfiche but I think, that will also not help.

Re: Headlight range switch for Cavalier V6
Any switch should work in any model, because it's only there to do one thing, adjust the headlamp angle. Unless there's a difference between Left-Hand drive and Right-Hand drive models, which I wouldn't know about, and would doubt that's the case, any switch will work.
However I can't say which exact ones were installed on the V6 models, sorry.

Re: Headlight range switch for Cavalier V6
I have checked using EPC4, and there is no differentiation between engine sizes, trim levels or VIN numbers.
I get the same part idents regardless of whether it is Opel, Vauxhall, GM or Holden
Here is what it has to say....
AS you can see-
No specific engine codes in the top grey header bar,
No specific VIN range on the right side of the image
No country codes or trim / option details in the central description texts.
So ANY switch will do.
