On the 94 CD Cavalier the front nearside fog lamp had water in it. I removed the bulb and about 2 tablespoons of water came out. I have now removed the bulb but need to take the housing into the house to fully dry it out. I have removed the three mounting screws so that it is hanging by the supply wire. How do I disconnect that wire? It does not appear to have a system to plug it into the lamp housing but seems to go somewhere under the battery. Any thoughts or help gratefully appreciated.
An air line and the heat gun have not removed all of the moisture but if there is another suggestion that would be great.
The water looks as if it has come in via the wire feed.
Thanks for looking.

Re: Removing front fog lamp
I just remembered.
The cables are usually tied up so that the connector is between the radiator grille and the headlamps.
One to each side of the grille.
Unless they were retro-fitted like mine were.

Re: Removing front fog lamp
Couldn't find the connector Rob. Left it hanging on it's mounting wire and ran a fan heater on low setting for an hour.
Seems to have removed the water. Have dosed the cable entry grommet with silicone sealant. Hopefully it will stop it happening again.
Thanks again for your help.

Did you check under the grille? If I remember, there should be 2 plugs under there, under the metal panel which the grille sits on. Also it may be worth cleaning and wrapping some PTFE or similar tape around the edge of the round bulb access tab. Moisture can get in that way I'd imagine.
