Radio repairs

Post by dorsetdave »

The 752 Philips radio cassette has quit. All I can hear is a very faint sound which does not improve when using a cassette. Strangely enough the Clarion radio in my Nissan Figaro had just developed the same fault but luckily there is a Clarion repairer in the UK and they fixed it. Does anyone know of a repairer? Failing that has anyone got a working 752 for sale. The car has only done 8200 miles and I want to keep it original.

I would have thought that any (old fashioned) car radio repairer could sort this.

All radios work on a similar general circuit.
It just sounds like the amplifier or it's circuitry is getting tired.
I suspect after 35 years, chances are it is a dry solder joint.

Would the Clarion man not have a look for you.?
