Philips DC 411 head unit.

Post by iangsi »

Amongst my hoard of stuff I found the above pull out head unit complete with chassis, instructions & code.
Was it ever fitted in a mk3 or was it a mk2 era stereo ?
Also what are the specs is it worth keeping as a spare ?

It looks like an early 90s Nova radio.
Or should I say it - later Rover radio.

It is quite a "little known" radio cassette player.
Not one that I had heard of before.

Cavalier pre-facelift range all had numbers in the 600 range.

As for Mk2 stuff... all I know is that my Mk2 Cavalier had a Philips 752 radio cassette.

If you don't have a need for it...
These older radios are going for silly money on ebay. A lot of people are wanting original radios for restoration projects.

Here is an excerpt from a 1991 Philips Catalogue.
