Central locking issue

Post by iangsi »

I have a problem with the central locking on the GSI, I thought it just got out sequence as the battery had been off to charge. The problem is when I tried to desd lock it all the locks just kept opening & closing until I unlocked it with the key. Then it seemed to sort it self out, but then I noticed the front passenger door remained locked even when I tried to open it by hand it will not unlock it appears to me that the solenoid has stopped working in the deadlock position, my problem is how do I fix it with no access to the inside of the door with the door locked shut ?

I have a feeling that you either need to rip the door card off, or destory the handle to get in to it.

I would try pulling the fuse first.
Then re-fit it, and try the central locking again via the key.

Sometimes, this has been known to get the central locking to behave itself properly.
I think it is fuse 17.
Although fuse 12 also operates the central locking.
