speakers

Post by cavyboi »

as most of you know that i have just done my parcel shelf and it had 6x9's in it i was just wondering if it makes any differance in the sound if i have them turned upside down like this

Image

as i have a metal bar under the parcel shelf to hold the head rests in place and i dont fancy cutting the bar up to make the speakers fit the right way

thank you in advance

may sound slightly muffled but the bass they kick out shouldn't be too bad... are you amping them up? if so just turn them up a little over the fronts...

alright mate,

ive got 6 by 9s in my shelf and it also had a steel bar, i managd to do mine its a bit fidly but possible,

i cut out the shape of the speakers on the top of the parcel shelf 1st and then remeovd the underneath cover (just a few screws) then cut the underneath (steel plate) a bit bigger than the speakers with some tin snips (really sharp ones) then cut the underneath cover pannel with enough clearance to allow for the speaker to come through the bottom then screw pannel back on and hey presto ur done.

its a bit of a ball ache bt worth it coz it looks smart and tidy.

if you want me to take some pikies of mine let me know and i will post them on this subject 4 u.
