Hi there

My central locking is not working on the driver's door. I have looked and there's 2 microswitches. I need the clip to hold them on again. Hopefully solving the problems
Theres 1 switch with just 2 black wires on it and the other one has other colours.
What order do they go in please
Tia

I have searched through my Haynes manual and through all the blurb on TIS2000.

Both simply say "fit the switch" as if there is only one micro-switch, not two side by side.

Now then, I have a 50 / 50 chance of getting this wrong.

So I have a cunning plan.

Fit the switches with the spring-steel clamp.

Open the driver's window all the way down.
Turn the key in the lock to approx 45° so that the door pins all drop.

Now - reach in and try to pull up the plunger.
If the plunger comes up, then the switches are the correct way round.
If you feel a lot of resistance (dead-locked), then the switches are the wrong way round.
To test the theory, turn the key to the flat / horizontal position.

If the switches are correct, you should feel a lot of resistance (dead-locked).

If the door pin is now easy to lift, then the switches are the wrong way round.
