X6 Connector - In the Passenger Footwell

Post by Robsey »

Here is the pinout for the passenger footwell connector as promised.

After hours and hours of trawling TIS and Haynes, I couldn't find anything for pin 45... so I assume that this is the only pin with no connection.

So here goes.

Pretty sure it's the big one in the ns kick panel, links the front and rear looms.
.... Edit, definitely, I just looked at the image Rob posted.
"No the temperature gauge doesn't work........
we've driven 150 miles today........
the heater went cold last Thursday........
they check the level when it's serviced don't they?"

If the wires are in the top plug AND the socket it sits into then yes... if either the plug or socket is missing the wires, at least now you know where the wires should go.

Confirmed - it is the big plug in the passenger side kick panel into which half of the wiring is connected on way or another.
That is - run the wiring from the seat mats to the x6 connector

This is where you need to insert wires if you are retro fitting

Electric sunroof
Fuel Computer
Front Fog lights

and so on, :ugeek:

if the wiring wasn't fitted as standard on your model.

HINT: - Click your mouse on the pin-out image, and it will come up bigger so that you can see it better / more clearly. :D

MOST of the check control wires go to X6, but I can do a quick trawl and put up a pin-out for that too if you like :ugeek:

just one or two wires that don't go to x6... voltage supply and ground, I think
