never fitted a vec one but ive done cav one in a cav and basically earthed it out on the brown to the screw that holds the surround on and then tapped the live into the interior light - technically its a bodge but it works fine, the propper connector for the sunroof is at the base of one of the pillars but all it really needs is a live and an earth

Its a case of unbolting the winder and bolting the motor in its place, took me about 10mins to do anitas cav sunrood

If you're messing about fitting an electric sunroof, why don't you fit the one touch electric roof from an Omega? It's a pretty simple job and is a lot more user friendly than the Cav roof. All you need is the motor from an Omega. There's a how-to somewhere, if you're interested let me know and I'll find you a link or something.

one touch is a lot more complicated, cos you have to run a an extra wire -ohhh very hard lol

But the cav one in the cav is possibly the simplest fitting one ive ever done.

Problem with the vectra sunrunroof motor is that the cog doesnt sit deep enough into the hope to turn efectively and thus can cause slippage (ie wonky sunroof)
